PREREQUISITE: Mastery of skills from *BEGINNER* Pole Dance (or having taken this class at least 3 times), in particular a solid basic pirouette on *both* sides, and grounded versions of static spins including the "around the world" (or any variations), backhook, and angel/reverse grab spins. As a mixed-level class this is NOT suitable for anyone that is *brand new* to pole.
DESCRIPTION: This class will take you through a choreography focused on exploring movement at the base of the pole, along with floorwork (detached from pole) that incorporates leg shapes and motions, rolls and transitions on the floor. Heels* (or socks) and knee pads are REQUIRED. Read requirements for shoes in next section.
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: Knee pads, socks, leggings (optional), and heels* (optional) -- stilettos must NOT be street-worn (studio/stage only), MUST have rubber-sole under platform and full ankle support (in front AND back of ankle), either with straps/buckles or boot style. Always bring yoga mat, towel, 70% isopropyl alcohol, and water.
