*** IF YOU ARE NOT PRE-APPROVED (must meet prereq's listed below) TO TAKE THIS CLASS THEN YOUR RESERVATION WILL LIKELY BE REMOVED ***
PREREQUISITE:  familiarity with (if not mastery of) skills from *BEGINNER* Pole Dance and Tricks classes, such as pirouettes, static spins (around the world/fireman, backhook, angel/reverse grab) and comfortable with basic center or side climbs, thigh sit and jasmine holds, and some experience working with inverting/upside-down holds.

DESCRIPTION:  Learn the basics of maneuvering on a pole that is on spin mode (vs "static"), which involves using a variety of body parts to hold various poses while the pole rotates so all angles of a move can be seen and appreciated. Hence this is a FULL BODY WORKOUT!

The goal in this class is to gain understanding and strength in executing and holding certain poses individually on a spinner to get ready to combine these into longer sequences (See "INTERMEDIATE:  Spinning Pole - Combos" class). Expect a review of basic climbing technique and fundamental holds like the thigh-based "pole sit" and knee-based "jasmine".

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: Must wear short-shorts, and a bra top for ladies (possibilty of needing torso skin exposed to stick to pole). Expect a barefoot class but good idea to bring shoes (not street-worn, please!) to dance in as well (same safety features required on any shoes, stilettos or otherwise: grippyrubber-based outsoles under platform/ball of foot, and secured around ankles). Always bring yoga mat, towel, 70% isopropyl alcohol, and water.
