PREREQUISITE:  at least some experience or comfort level with practicing inversions, even semi-grounded (i.e. supported handstands), but mastery not required

DESCRIPTION:  The butterfly is a foundational aerial trick that opens the door to countless beautiful variations and transitions in pole. Mastering solid butterfly technique not only elevates your flow but also helps prevent injury by building balanced strength and body awareness. It's also fabulous training and conditioning in preparation for Ayeshas. In this series, we’ll work both on and off the pole to warm up, stabilize, and strengthen the key muscle groups that support controlled butterfly entries and holds. Then we’ll dive into your personal next-level butterfly goals — exploring floor and aerial variations such as handstands (1- and 2-handed), forearm stands, extended versions, and dynamic transitions including exit combos and flips. This series is designed to help you feel confident, safe, and strong as you take your butterfly to new heights.

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: Must wear short-shorts, and a bra top for ladies (possibilty of needing torso skin exposed to stick to pole). Expect a barefoot class but good idea to bring shoes (not street-worn, please!) to dance in as well (same safety features required on any shoes, stilettos or otherwise: grippyrubber-based outsoles under platform/ball of foot, and secured around ankles). Always bring yoga mat, towel, 70% isopropyl alcohol, and water.
